What to expect when your shipment arrives in Grand Cayman

When shipping into Grand Cayman there are certain procedures you have to go through before receiving your shipment. You can decide to clear the shipment yourself or appoint a customs broker to do so on your behalf.

The process of clearing shipments is as follows:

  • Ship your cargo using Seaboard Marine services from Miami or   Jamaica.
  • On arrival of the vessel you will be notified that your cargo has arrived (or if you prefer you can also call our office to enquire).
  • Come to our office at the Mirco Centre, Industrial Park to pay your freight charges and collect your documentation.
  • Go to the Customs Department on the Airport Road to pay your custom duties – Tel: (345) 949-4579.
  • Go to the Port Authority on Portland Road to pay your port fees –   Tel: (345) 949-2055.

Final Delivery of Cargo:

For less than container loads cargo

Make arrangement to collect your shipment from the Cargo Distribution Center (CDC) on Portland Road – Tel: (345) 914-3750.


For Full Container Loads

Deliver customs delivery receipt to the trucking company of your choice.
